Use Cleaner Use Less
West Mercia Energy (WME) is delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new feature within our myWME energy monitoring platform, designed exclusively for our education customers. This latest development enables schools to better understand and track their energy performance by analysing consumption on a per pupil and per gross internal floor area (GIFA) basis.
Using this data, schools can now benchmark their energy efficiency against similar schools, based on education phase (Primary, Secondary or All-Through), and receive an overall energy efficiency rating of Good, Average, or Poor.
Supporting schools to identify improvements and drive change
This intuitive benchmarking tool gives school and MAT leaders a clear and accessible view of their energy performance. It enables users to:
- Compare usage against similar schools
- Track the impact of energy-saving interventions over time
- Prioritise action towards net zero goals
For schools looking to improve on their benchmark, WME already offers a wide range of targeted support resources to help drive improvements, including access to our DfE-approved “Education Decarbonisation Framework”, which provides specialist guidance, project support and funding routes to help schools reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
