The first few months have seen us participating in key conferences across the education sector, connecting with new and existing clients and sharing our knowledge and expertise with education leaders and promoting our PCR compliant energy frameworks.

In our latest blogpost, we reflect on a busy start to the year, and what it to come in the months ahead.

January - Birmingham Association of Schools Business Managers Conference (BASBM): On 31st January, WME exhibited at the BASBM winter conference at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham. The conference was attended by over 100 delegates representing schools and academies from across the City. As the corporate energy supplier to Birmingham City Council, a significant number of delegates were WME customers, and it was great to hear such positive feedback as to the service they are receiving. We look forward to supporting the event again later in the year.

February - Confederation of Schools Trusts (CST) Finance and Operations Conference: WME is proud to be a recognised supplier by the CST and on 6th February we exhibited at their Finance and Operations Conference in Birmingham – An event bringing together MAT Finance and Operations professionals with content to reflect their wide varying job responsibilities. The event was well attended with over 100 delegates representing Trusts across the Country. Gavin and Kathryn offered advice and support to attendees, with particular interest around how we can help to negate rising energy costs through risk managed energy procurement while also supporting Trust's sustainability goals.

We are a committed supporter of the CST, and look forward to supporting their National Conference later in the year.

March promises to be an equally exciting month as we support the Worcestershire Association of School Business Management Conference. WME provide services to over 90% of all Worcestershire Schools, so we look forward to meeting our existing Clients at this event.

Later in March, we will also be speaking at the Cheshire West Schools and Academies Business Forum. This event will give us a platform to discuss our suite of energy and sustainability solutions available to schools and academies within the region.

In May, WME are hosting our own Customer Conference, which will be held at the Croud Meadow, home of our local football team, Shrewsbury Town. This annual event, which grows each year, provides an opportunity for WME to showcase the provision WME provide for our customers and is supported by a range of external stakeholders.

We look forward to seeing as many customers as possible at all of our upcoming events and encourage you to pop by and say hello, if you see the WME team at any event over the coming months.
