West Mercia Energy, in collaboration with npower Business Solutions, is providing no-cost workshops for students in years 6, 7, and 8 to enhance their STEM subject expertise, creativity, and collaborative skills.
What are the Power to Drive workshops?
The Power to Drive workshops are designed to engage young people in learning about electricity and energy, looking at how it is made and used, as well as the environmental and economic impacts of different sources. The workshops also cover maths and engineering skills, as students will build miniature electric cars to demonstrate the principles of gears. They will then use the cars to understand the relationship between voltage input and distance travelled and compete in teams to see how far along the challenge matt they can travel.
